Remote viewing of simulation exercises

The Fremantle Simulator has installed equipment allowing the simulators to be live streamed for remote real-time viewing of exercises. We have provided the service for pilot interviews, training and engineering exercises for port development. The live stream has provided clients with a real-time view from the bridge, the conning display, and an overview of position on the chart. Our clients have observed in real-time how vessels will operate in the new port developments, including the heading, speed, engine telegraph setting, engine rpm, depth, wind speed and direction, rate of turn and position. Supported by video conferencing, the clients interacted with the bridge team and the simulator facilitator, as well as participate in debrief sessions. The technology is performing well so please contact FMSC if you have simulation work that is being hindered by COVID-19 restrictions.

Regards,

Capt. Rory Main
